A lot has happened in the past few days.

So far we've found 2 femurs and what we think might be part of a pelvis. It's hard to tell right now, but when we get it a little more uncovered it'll be easier. I can't wait until we do. There's really no way to describe the feeling of uncovering a bone, I wish I could just so you guys could understand even a fraction of how good I feel right now.

I'm just really enjoying being out here. I look around at these people, these fantastic dirt covered people, and I feel at home. It's like there's this understanding between us, this kinship that we share just through our passion alone. I've talked with a lot of them, especially the other students, and it's just... I don't know! Maybe I'm just feeling really sentimental tonight, but it feels like we were made for this profession.

I feel like I belong here, and the longer I stay - the more dust I breathe, the more calloused my hands get - the more it starts to feel like home.

Kind of a stupid thing to say, I guess.
